YOU WERE THE FIRST SURFER TO UPLOAD TO INNERSECTION...HAD YOU BEEN PREPARING LONG?  I first heard about Innersection on Surfline. We had about 3O days to film. I uploaded it on Monday out of the hope you would actually view it. I figured hundreds of people would be sending in videos.

CAN YOU GIVE US SOME BACKGROUND ON HOW YOUR WHOLE THING CAME TOGETHER? I edited my own section. I haven't really edited before. I am brand new to it. I know it's terrible.

YOU DID ALRIGHT. WAS IT A SHOCK WHEN THE COMP STARTED AND THERE WERE SO MANY PROS AND SO FEW BROS? Yeah, it was a Huge shock. I couldn't believe my section even made it.

YOUR VIEW COUNT WAS JUST FLYING UP IN THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK — WHAT WAS YOUR STRATEGY GOING INTO THIS? My strategy was to get as much traffic to the site as humanly possible. We made fliers and hit up all the Middle schools, my high school, colleges. You name it, we were there. 

WHY DO YOU THINK GETTING SO MUCH MORE ATTENTION THAN MORE WELL-KNOWN PROS LIKE OWEN WRIGHT AND TAYLOR KNOX? I have no idea. The only thing that we had on our side is the support from our friends and family.

THERE WERE SOME ACCUSATIONS IN THE COMMENTS ABOUT YOU CLICKING YOUR OWN SECTION — CARE TO RESPOND TO ANY OF THAT? There are a lot of people saying much worse than that. I wanna know how does an IP address work at say a college or a middle school. 200 computers on one IP address perhaps?

DO YOU THINK ALL THE VIEWS YOU HAD WERE ACTUAL "VIEWS," OR JUST FRIENDS AND FANS CLICKING YOUR SCORE UP? I thought the idea was to get as much traffic to the site as humanly possible. I had no idea of what was going to happen after that. 

DO YOU THINK ANY FAKE ACCOUNTS WERE MADE TO BOOST YOUR VOTES? I think we had a crazy amount of support we worked really hard to hype this thing up. Outside of that I have no control over what people do or say.
     I think if you really looked at the comments on all the sections there have been funny fake names all over this thing. Bob Sagget stopped by to tell me I sucked the other day. It goes both ways.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR SECTION RANKS AMONGST ALL THE OTHERS ON THE SITE? As far as production quality, waves, editing, it doesn't. Of course not. 

HOW WAS YOUR FEEDBACK FROM THE EXPERTS LIKE DORIAN, MALLOY, GERLACH AND TAYLOR? Worth its weight in gold. I felt that they gave me a very honest opinion and great advise, Thank you guys.

WHICH SECTIONS IMPRESSED YOU THE MOST? They were all great, but I really liked Dylan Graves, Nate Tylers, Losness's and Nate Yoemens

YOU'RE CURRENTLY UNSPONSORED — DO YOU THINK HAVING THE MOST VIEWS ON INNERSECTION HAS HELPED YOUR SURFING CAREEER AT ALL? I think I have proved I am better at marketing than editing. I hope so. If not, it was a really cool thing to be part of.

IF YOU MAKE THE FINAL FIVE, HOW WILL YOU APPROACH IMPROVING YOUR SECTION FOR THE DVD? Really, you're joking right?  

JUST THOUGHT I'D ASK. SO, IF YOU DON'T MAKE THE NEXT ROUND, WILL YOU FEEL ROBBED, SINCE YOU HAVE THE MOST VIEWS? No, I'm just stoked that I even got to be part of Innersection.

YOU DEDICATE YOUR SECTION TO YOUR MOM...ANYTHING YOU WANT TO ADD ABOUT THAT? My mom lost her battle to cancer just over a year ago. I feel really bad for people who can't respect that.
