I don’t know, man. Some guys read all the mags and can name the last five NSSA champs, other guys know all the back roads in Baja and can do ding repair with chewing gum and a magnifying glass. It’s all surfing. And we all know what we like.

I don’t think too many guys who don’t care much about surfing are going to stumble onto Innersection, sign up, log-in and start downloading surf sections. Not unless the Internet suddenly runs out of porn. (Relax, I said “unless.”)

Surfing is different things to different people. That’s why we’re not breaking it up into “big wave category” and “grom division” and “highest air award.” It’s all surfing. Vote for the sickest sections. Whatever you think that is.

Sorry to disappoint, but we’re not going to yell anyone off the site or spray paint “locals only” across their monitors. We do agree that people should watch all the sections before making their judgments —  but the site’s set up to encourage that and keep the judging fair. You’ll see when you get there. We’ve already thought through a lot of these things.

Thanks for your concern, though. Please continue to comment and poke holes at the weak spots…I’ll continue being a sarcastic asshole.
