But until then, you have this little blog site. And me. So here we go.
We’re going to try to make this real clear. It works like this…
On March 1st, there will be a one-week “upload window” to place your 2 to 3-minute surf section on the Innersection website. After that period, the upload window will close until the next round (May 1st).
For one week, Innersection members will watch and judge these sections, awarding them a rating on a 1-10 scale.
From these ratings (balanced with number of views and general commentary), the field will be narrowed to the Top 10.
The next week, members will pick five favorite sections and rank them 1 thru 5. Based on these ranking, sections receive points (1st=5 points, 2nd=4 points, etc.). Five sections will receive no points.
At the end of this period, points will be tallied and we will announce the five sections that have qualified for the Innersection DVD via the Winter Round.
There will be four rounds of competition. Five qualifiers each round.
Twenty sections will be on the DVD, and from the DVD you will pick the very best section to win $100,000.

A FEW QUICK BULLET POINTS:
- Membership is free. Once you sign up, we’ll email you updates on the status of each round so you may contribute your ratings and votes.
- After each Round, the site will be cleared of footage. Filmers and surfers retain possession of their footage and are free to put it on their blog, sponsor site, or hold out for the next round of competition.
- Qualifying sections will have the remainder of the year to re-edit their section for the final DVD. Taylor Steele and Innersection will provide detailed, wave by wave notes on how to improve your section.
